A Proud Woman Owned and IBEW Journeyman Lineman Owned Company
AC Alsup & Brothers, established in January 2023, is proudly owned by Emily and Cole Alsup. As a Woman-Owned and IBEW Journeyman Lineman-Owned company, we bring a unique blend of expertise and dedication to the industry. Both Emily and Cole come from a lineage of entrepreneurs, instilling in them a strong foundation for success. From a young age, Cole was inspired by many relatives who were linemen, and he knew he wanted to follow in their footsteps. At 18, he began his career in linework in Southeast Missouri. Shortly after entering the trade, he joined the IBEW. His first IBEW job was with PAR Electric during the 2009 Ice Storm , where he worked as a groundman. During this time, he had a brief but impactful conversation with the current PAR Electric CEO, who shared his own journey from groundman to CEO. This interaction left a lasting impression on Cole and continues to inspire him.
The many exceptional IBEW linemen, Executives and Business Owners who mentored Emily and Cole throughout the years instilled in them the importance of safety, craftsmanship, integrity and professionalism. Their extensive knowledge of being a contractor and working at a utility gave them a well-rounded perspective on the industry and its needs. Having experienced both sides of the industry, they recognized the disconnect between the company and the employee on the contractor side. Then the relationship between the contractor and the utility they saw the need for a contractor who is as a partner rather than just a service provider. In 2022, Cole and his wife Emily devised a plan to establish AC Alsup & Brothers. Their vision was to create a company where employees are valued as assets, respected, and treated like family. They also committed to being a trusted partner for utilities, solving problems, and giving each customer large or small the same level of safety, integrity and craftsmanship. They started with a big vision, a well-thought-out plan, faith in God, and a lot of grit and determination. As we enter our third year, we have seen tremendous growth. We are growing exponentially with great employees while continuing to provide a superior service that utilities cannot find elsewhere. Our promise is to never compromise what we stand on which is Safety-Integrity-Craftsmanship. We have unwavering faith in God and hold dear our family values, both personally and within the company.
Our success is a result of years of hard work and determination, both personally and professionally, our integrity, and most importantly, our faith in God.
SAFETY
Safety is first in every conversation. We prioritize the well-being of our employees and the other crews we work next to on storms or projects, treating them as part of our family.
